The Mongolia trip offering 12 days cultural and natural sightseeing tour which starts with driving to Central Mongolia considered as Kharakhorum ancient capital city, neighborhood attractions and further continues travel towards Three Beauties of the Gobi National Park to explore Eagle valley and Flaming cliffs known as a Bayanzag (dinosaur excavation site).
In the second half of this Mongolia tour you will travel to central Mongolian wilderness area Khan Khentii. There is range of activities you could do such as horse riding, or yak cart riding in the mountains and valleys, hiking and visiting the ruins of the Princess temple and visit a nomadic Family etc…

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be met by official representative and transport to hotel. Overnight in Hotel
Day 2: Khustai National Park, Elsen Tasarkhai (Sand Dunes)
After early morning breakfast, your guide will have an ideal talk about the next upcoming days’. Before we leave Ulaanbaatar you can walk around and shop at the grocery stores or go to money exchange for your concern. Drive to Kharkhorum city about 360km, en route visit Khustai national park. See the Flora and Fauna and the Przewalski horse. Further, have a short break at Elsen Tasarkhai (Sand dunes). Optional Camel riding activity. Evening, arrive in Kharkhorum city.

Day 3: Kharkhorum and Erdene Zuu
After having breakfast at the tourist camp we take a walk to Kings’ statue at the top of the hill. And visit Erdene Zuu monastery which was built in 1586 and is surrounded by a massive 400m-x 400m wall. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the ornate temples, only a few of which remain standing after the communist purges. Mongolia´s ancient capital Kharkhorum, Chinggis Khaan´s fabled city, was founded in 1220 on the bank of ORKHON river, at the crossroads of The “Silk Road”. It was from there that the Mongol Empire was governed, until Kublai Khaan moved to Beijing.

Day 4: Waterfall and visit nomad family
After Breakfast, drive Ulaan Tsutgalan” waterfall. During the road visit ‘Shankh Monastery’, which was built in 1650s. Which was damaged during Stalinist purge and reconstructed. See a beautiful river valley named ‘Uurtiin tokhoi’ which has cold sour mineral spring and it is used as medicine. The Waterfall is situated in the Orkhon Valley and this valley is known as the cradle of the Mongolian civilization as many of Mongolia‘s ancient monuments lie within its borders. The area surrounding the waterfall is green and forested. Visit a nomad family and share a Mongolian meal. Visit a horse breeding farm and try ‘Airag”, the Mongolian fermented mare’s milk.

Day 5: Ongi Cloister
Today we continue our journey to Middle Gobi (about 240km). Next Stop is the Ongi Cloister ruin which was founded in 1760 and consisted of two temple complexes on the North and South banks of the Ongi River. The northern complex, built in the 18th century, consisted of 17 temples-among them one of the largest temples in all of Mongolia. At its heyday, Ongi Cloister could accommodate over 1000 monks at a time.

Day 6: Flaming cliffs ‘Bayanzag’
After having nice breakfast at Ongi Secret tourist camp we head towards the Great South Gobi (250km). On the way visit the Flaming cliffs (dinosaur excavation site) known as Bayanzag. The place is an area of red cliffs, which formed from the erosion of sand and rock over many thousands of years. It also the site of several successful dinosaur excavations. And visit Moltsog Els (sand dune).

Day 7: Eagle Valley, Gobi National Park
After having breakfast we drive to the beautiful Eagle Valley in Gurvan Saikhan Mountains (about 40km). The valley is about 10km long and is completely shaded from the sun in some parts due to the high cliff walls. There you can walk and taking spectacular local landscape photographs. At the opening of the valley is a Local Natural History Museum displaying interesting illustration about the Flora & fauna of the area. You will return to the GER camp in the evening and enjoy free time walking around and see the stunning Gobi sunset.

Day 8: Arrive Ulaanbaatar, city tour
In the early morning after having breakfast drive to Dalanzadgad airstrip to catch a flight to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival our driver and guide will pick you up and transport to hotel. Today will be a day of guided sightseeing in UB, including Chinggis square, historical museum and shopping and free time.

Day 9: Terelj National Park
After breakfast at 8.40am drive to Terelj National Park about 98km, our last stop is Princess Lodge. On the way you will be introduced with the small town people’s living standard, herder families, pasturing livestock and Monk cave. Arrive in Princess Lodge, field lunch in the nature. Introduce with camp and its surrounding environment. Spend rest of the day enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Khan Khentii mountains. Evening programs of interest and bonfire, wine taste.

Day 10: Khan Khentii Protected Area, Princess temple
After having a nice breakfast at Princess Lodge tourist camp, horse riding to Princess Temple ruins. We horse riding 18-20 km through spectacular valleys and across small rivers surrounded by highly–eroded rock formations of the Khan Khentii Mountains. Cafe breaks on picnic at a site chosen for its spectacular setting. Visit the ruins of Princess Temple, was built in 1740. Return to the camp. Free time having Sauna and shower, traditional game. Day 11: Ulaanbaatar
After Breakfast return to Ulaanbaatar 98km. On the way visit nomad family, watch their everyday life and living GER, animals taste dairy products made by nomads. On arrival you can have shopping at The State Department Store. Lunch at the local famous restaurant, serving authentic traditional food. In the evening enjoy the exciting performance of “Sarni Chuluu” ensemble to see traditional folklore such as dance, song, Buddhist ritual mask dance.

Day 12: Journey Home
After breakfast sum our great journey to Western Mongolia, drive to Chinggis Khaan airport for international invisible highway. /B/
