Beauty of Mongolian lakes tour (16 days )
Mongolian nature zones include The Altai, Khangai, Khentii and the Gobi. This Mongolia trip take you to the Khangai mountains (northern Mongolia), natural beauties with astounding scenery of several major lakes (Khuvsgul Lake, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake) Dormant volcano, wide rivers full of fish, extensive forests and pastures where yaks and cattle thrive. During the trips in Mongolia you visit several nomadic families, having tea and talk which would be a good chance to have meaningful cultural experiences with them.
In the next half of this Mongolia tour you will visit the Khan Khentii wilderness park, staying at the Princess Lodge. And ride on horse back to one of Mongolian historical sightseeing Princess temple and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of its landscape.
Day 1: Arrival Ulaanbaatar
Upon arrival you will be met and assisted by your official Mongolian representative. Drive to Ulaanbaatar downtown for 20 minutes. Afternoon visit the Museum of Mongolian History (exhibits of Mongolian ethnic lifestyles) / visit Chinggis Square (there is a Great Chinggis Khaan’s Memorial complex) for city orientation. Our guide will advise on what time you will depart in the following morning and arrange your breakfast at the convenient time.

Day 2: Amarbayasgalant Monastery
After having breakfast at the Hotel restaurant, you may go to bank for exchange and gather small items or food. Then we drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery about 360km on asphalt road. Mongolian famous Amarbayasgalant monastery is one of the 3 big. The monastery was established in 1727-1736 by degree of “Undurgegeen Zanabazar” and has about 30temples with 4 layers. Only 5 remained whole after 1930s repression. Spend rest of the day around Amarbayasgalant monastery; our guide will serve you meals.

Day 3-5: North Mongolia, Khuvsgul Lake
In the morning, after having a nice breakfast, we continue our journey to Moron town 320 km and further to Khuvsgul Lake 110km spend one night on the way to Lake. Spend 2 days by the crystal clear water of Khuvsgul Lake. A reindeer family tour could be arranged on a day basis. The route: motor boat excursion trip and visit to a reindeer family and watch their everyday life, yurth and take picture together with locals. During your stay in Khuvsgul Lake we stay in Tourist GER camp and served by European and traditional menus.

Day 6: Khangai Mountain
Today we will start our journey to Khorgo national park about 320km. Therefore, after early morning of breakfast we leave Khuvsgul Lake to south. We will ride through a beautiful Khangai mountain range, forest and river. On half of our way we make camp on chosen spectacular spot. Dinner served beside the bonfire and admire the beautiful clear sky of stars in the evening.

Day 7-8: Khorgo national park
In the morning, wake up in the wilderness and have a nice warm coffee and breakfast. While you having breakfast our guide and driver will dissemble the tent and other equipment. Today we reach Khorgo national park its Dormant Volcano, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake and many other attractions around the park. Afternoon arrive in Khorgo national park from its north entrance and stay in GER tourist camp. On the next day visit the attractions of Khorgo national park and visit nomad family, keeps yaks.

Day 9: Chuluut River and Canyon
Today we drive to Tamir, It would be a long drive but we pass through beautiful green valleys with nomadic GERs and herds of sheep and cattle. We will see the Chuluut River on the way which has gorgeous high canyon. Make camp in chosen side.

Day 10: Kharkhorum and Erdene Zuu
After having a breakfast in the green field we destine Kharkhorum ancient city. On the way pass by Tsetserleg, the capital of Arkhangai (Central Mongolia) Aimag. Afternoon, visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery in Kharkhorum. This Monastery was built in 1586 and is surrounded by a massive 400m-x 400m wall. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the ornate temples, only a few of which remain standing after the communist purges. Mongolia ‘s ancient capital, Kharakhorum, Chinggis Khaan´s fabled city, was founded in 1220 in the Orkhon Valley , at the crossroads of ‘The Silk Road’. It was from there that the Mongol Empire was governed, until Kublai Khaan moved to Beijing.

Day 11: Ulaanbaatar city
After having breakfast at the tourist camp we will hike to the Kings’ statue on the top of the hill for less than 2km. There you have a great opportunity to take a photo of Ancient Kharkhorum City from the top. Then we join the highway to Capital Ulaanbaatar City (380km about 5 hours). On the way we will have a Lunch break on Lun town. In the evening arrive in Ulaanbaatar, dine at famous traditional restaurant serving original authentic food.

Day 12: Terelj National Park
After breakfast at 8.40am drive to Terelj National Park about 98km, our last stop is Princess Lodge. On the way you will be introduced with the small town people’s living standard, herder families, pasturing livestock and Monk cave. Arrive in Princess Lodge, field lunch in the nature. Introduce with camp and its surrounding environment. Spend rest of the day enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Khan Khentii mountains. Evening programs of interest and bonfire, wine taste.

Day 13-14: Princess temple and horse riding or ox card trip
After having a nice breakfast at Princess Lodge tourist camp, horse riding to Princess Temple ruins. We horse riding 16 km (two ways) through spectacular valleys and across small rivers surrounded by highly–eroded rock formations of the Khan Khentii Mountains. Our local herder guide will assist you along the way to temple. Cafe breaks on picnic at a site chosen for its spectacular setting. Visit the ruins of Princess Temple, was built in 1740. Return to the camp. Free time having Sauna and shower, traditional game.

Day 15: Ulaanbaatar
After Breakfast return to Ulaanbaatar 98km. On the way visit nomad family, watch their everyday life and living GER, animals taste dairy products made by nomads. On arrival you can have shopping at The State Department Store. Lunch at the local famous restaurant, serving authentic traditional food. In the evening enjoy the exciting performance of “Sarni Chuluu” ensemble to see traditional folklore such as dance, song, Buddhist ritual mask dance.

Day 16: Journey to home
After breakfast, drive to Chinggis Khaan airport for international departure.

During your travel along the countryside tourist camps will serve with standard breakfast and meals of beef, rice and vegetables. If you are vegetarian or require Halal food we also able to organize your special need of food in Mongolia.
Transport: Our vehicles are prepared to travel on Mongolian road. We use variety of air-conditioned, four wheel drive vehicles and bus. The average mileage you will drive per day in Mongolian tour is 180 to 220 kilometers. Our vehicles include Land cruiser, Delica 2, Russian Van, Bus.
